Construction-Reflection log 10

This is a reflection of what we have done so far. We have finished filming all of the clips that are needed for our music video and now we are editing the final bits. Before we started editing, we thought that we filmed a lot of bits so we looking over the bits that we filmed and decided if it was necessary or unnecessary for our film. When we started editing, we saw some mistakes that were in the video like there was a shadow in one of the shots of someone who took a video of the clip. There was also continually in the shot. To make these shots better, we have to add other clips that we filmed to the music video.

After filming some parts, we then uploaded the video clips and imported them on to adobe premier.  When editing the video clips, we edited the speed reduction of the videos. We wanted the argument scene between the mother and daughter to be in slow motion so the video can enthuses on their actions.
W also wanted the scenes to be in black ad white

Today we did some editing of the music video and we did some filming as well.The filming we did was of the mother and daughter argument scene.  While filming the scene, we had to use a tripod and camera to help us film. 

We had to make sure that we got the different shots and angle correct. We did struggle with some parts, but we managed to get things done. 

Construction - Reflection - Film

This week we have filmed twice, we have filmed different scenes in the music video. We also uplaoded the videos that we filmed on to the cumpter. During our filming times, it took a while for us to get the good shots because we were figuring out how the scenes were going to work together. It wasnt easy filming because we had to restart a couple of times due to the fact that we were getting things wrong.
In terms of working tohether, I felt we did work together well and listened to what each of us had to say about the filming. One thing I feel we need to improve on is the amount of time we spend to film, sometimes it would take us a while to get the film done because we would have some complications. Overall our filming today was really good and productive.

Construction- Reflection log 7 for Script

During our time filming , as a group we came up with more ideas to add to the film.We've decided that the beginning of the film will be changed to having a fragmentation of the body, and of the singer (Rihanna) in the studio preparing to sing and shots of the actress in bed waking up to no one beside her , looking puzzled as though she was expecting someone to be there.

Construction- Reflection log 6 for first day of filming

On our first day of filming, we filmed the beginning scene of the music video when the main character is sitting near the window and she is writing a letter. In this filming process, there were complications because it was bright outside at the time that we chose to film so some of our clips came out wrong because of this. This also meant that we couldn't film as much as we wanted to.
   When the sun went down, we started to get good shots for our music video which we have included in the music video for example, we got a good of the main character at the window sill and the sunset. For our second day of filming, we hope to film more scenes in the room and the green screen.

Construction - Reflection Log 5 For Album cover

Today we continued with our album cove. We added a barcode and the copyright information. In addition we fixed up the website which took a while because we wanted to get it just right. We also fixed up the title on the album cover. Overall we got a few bits and pieces done today which went well.

After we had added the slogan to the radio spot, we added 10 seconds of the rihanna song 'fool in love' that we are going to make a music video of on our radio spot. to do this, we converted the song from youtube to mp3 and uploaded it on garage band. Then, we cut the song short to 10 seconds made sure that it faded out at the end of the song.

Later, we put the radio spot on premire and added an image and name of the dj to the radio spot. We then converted the file to flv and uploaded it to youtube.

After we have done the dj and caller call in, we then looked for background music to put on our radio spot for when the dj talks to the audience and the caller. We thought of doing this because when we played the whole radio spot that we done so far, that bit sounded a bit plain. We got the background music from youtube and converted it to an mp3 so that we could use it for our radio spot. The song that we chose was the instrumental of 'love on top' by beyonce.

After we had done the background music, we then recorded the dj talking about the song before we had to put the song on the radio spot and added the slogan of the radio so that people would know what the radio is called if they tuned in late.

Construction - Reflection log 2

Our next time doing the radio spot went alright but we had a few difficulties. We carried on with the recording and tried to add the effects. We found it exciting looking for the right beat to put at the beginning of the radio spot.

We did finally completed the beginning of the radio spot. We then worked on the call-in with the Dj and the caller. We first had to figure out what the name of our dj's name was and we came up with dj chesty. Today has been productive.

Construction - Reflection log 1

As a group we have to create a radio spot. This includes us creating our own radio show. This is our first day of the process of creating our radio spot.  We application we have to use is garage ban, which is an audio making software.

So far our first attempt of making the spot has gone alright. At first we had to get used to the different functions and what they did, we are now confident on the different functions etc. In addition we decided on how the Rihanna song was going to be played. we decided that we were going to have someone call in and say the song they wanted to be played on the station. We also recorded the first part of the radio spot which included one of us introducing the radio station. We decided among ourselves  who the Dj was going to be and who would be the person calling in.
